Bernina #22 Foot

The "bridge" between the toes of the couching feet contains three or five channels to hold strands of narrow cord or heavy decorative thread. A black latch, hinged at the left side of the foot, swings over the cords and holds them in place. In the sole of the foot, just in front of the needle opening, three small grooves correspond the channels at the front of the foot. These grooves help keep the strands separate, parallel and tangle-free.
